“Mortgages are what I do, but my business is people.” Starting in mortgages in 2010, after working in customer service focused jobs, such as a bar manager and then realtor's assistant, Dana knew that a career in client services would be a big part of her future

. “Mortgages were a natural choice, my mom was a mortgage broker, my dad was a bank manager it was kind of an “AHH HA” moment” “I can do this.”

 

Dana feels that she has fortunate enough to discover and build a career that brings both connection and joy to almost every day. Working with the philosophy of treating each client as if they are her only client, Dana takes the time to ensure everyone under­stands every step of the mortgage process. "I work hard to make sure my clients feel educated, and that they know we are working towards their financial goals together." This team approach continues even after the financing has been completed, with Dana remaining available to the clients for issues or questions as they may arise-she sees her job as building clients for life, not merely completing transactions.

This perspective came to Dana years ago as she, herself, was buying her first home as a single mom. She felt as though she did not completely understand the process, or what was happening at the time, and recalls feeling both scared and confused. Now on the other side of the deal, Dana says, "I strive to make sure my clients know I always have their best interests and their future in mind when I guide them through the choices of a mortgage product or a lender. When my clients feel taken care of and they understand the details of buying, selling, or refinancing, then I have done my job."

 

I am not a transactional Broker, my clients know I have their backs. I love the connections I make through honesty, clarity, and respect." Her personalized approach to navigating the often times confusing landscape of mortgages, allows Dana to build long-term rela­tionships with those she serves. "My clients make my workday fun," she describes. "I feel extremely grateful to have found a career where I can connect with people daily, and as­sist them with the biggest financial investment of their lives. My clients are really my why."
